While the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) prepares to update SPD 15 data standards for the first time since 1997, stakeholders are working on behalf of racial, ethnic, socioeconomic and LGBTQIA+ constituencies to support accountability led by OMB to diversify current data collection and reporting standards effectively.

Improve Data Collection Requirements:

Establishing clear and consistent requirements for the collection of racial, ethnic and language (REL) and sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) data, including a minimum standard for disaggregated race/ethnicity collection that is consistent with industry interoperability standards.
